Dans cette leçon, vous apprendrez à utiliser les prépositions « behind » et « in front of ». Vous verrez des exemples simples et ferez des exercices pour décrire où se trouvent les choses.
🧠 Grammar Focus
We use ‘behind’ to say something is at the back of something else. We use ‘in front of’ to say something is at the front of something else. The sentence form is: Subject + is/are + behind/in front of + object. For example, ‘The cat is behind the chair.’ Use ‘is’ with one thing and ‘are’ with many things. Do not say ‘in front’ only; always say ‘in front of’. Here are some examples: 1) The book is behind the door. 2) The dog is behind the table. 3) The car is in front of the house. 4) The bike is in front of the shop. 5) The children are behind the school.
On utilise « behind » pour dire que quelque chose est à l’arrière de quelque chose d’autre. On utilise « in front of » pour dire que quelque chose est devant quelque chose d’autre. La phrase est: Sujet + is/are + behind/in front of + objet. Par exemple, « The cat is behind the chair ». On utilise « is » pour un seul objet, et « are » pour plusieurs. Ne dites jamais juste « in front », dites toujours « in front of ». Voici des exemples pour comprendre.
