🎯 Lesson Goal

Learn how to use comparative adjectives to compare two things.

Apprenez à utiliser les adjectifs comparatifs pour comparer deux choses.

🤢 Grammar Focus

We use comparative adjectives to compare two things. We add -er to short adjectives. For example, tall becomes taller. For long adjectives, we use ‘more’ before the adjective. For example, beautiful becomes more beautiful. We use the structure: subject + verb + adjective + -er/more + than + object. Example: She is taller than me. Do not forget to use ‘than’ after the comparative adjective. Examples: My house is bigger than your house. This book is more interesting than that one. Be careful: do not add -er and also use ‘more’ together.

On utilise les adjectifs comparatifs pour comparer deux choses. On ajoute -er aux adjectifs courts. Pour les adjectifs longs, on met ‘more’ devant. La structure est : sujet + verbe + adjectif + -er/plus + than + objet. N’oubliez pas d’utiliser ‘than’ après l’adjectif comparatif.
