🎯 Lesson Goal

You will learn how to use the prepositions ‘in’, ‘on’, and ‘at’ to talk about places.

Vous apprendrez à utiliser les prépositions « in », « on » et « at » pour parler des endroits.

🧠 Grammar Focus

We use ‘in’ to talk about things inside a space. We use ‘on’ to talk about things on a surface. We use ‘at’ to talk about a point or place. The sentence structure is: subject + verb + preposition + place. For example: She is in the room. The book is on the table. I am at the bus stop. A common mistake is using ‘in’ instead of ‘on’ or ‘at’. Use ‘in’ for inside, ‘on’ for surfaces, and ‘at’ for points. Examples: 1. The keys are in the bag. 2. The cup is on the table. 3. He is at the door. 4. She sits in the car. 5. The phone is on the chair.

On utilise « in » pour parler de choses à l’intérieur d’un espace. On utilise « on » pour parler de choses sur une surface. On utilise « at » pour parler d’un point ou d’un lieu précis. La structure de la phrase est : sujet + verbe + préposition + lieu. Une erreur fréquente est de mettre « in » à la place de « on » ou « at ». « in » = à l’intérieur, « on » = sur une surface, « at » = un point précis. Les exemples montrent ces cas.
