🎯 Lesson Goal

In this lesson, you will learn how to ask and answer questions with ‘Whose?’. You will practice simple sentences about things and people.

Dans cette leçon, vous apprendrez à poser et répondre aux questions avec ‘Whose?’. Vous pratiquerez des phrases simples sur des choses et des personnes.

🧠 Grammar Focus

We use ‘Whose?’ to ask about the owner of something. It means: ‘Who has this?’ Use ‘Whose’ at the start of the question. After ‘Whose’, use a noun. For example: ‘Whose book is this?’ The answer can be: ‘It is his book.’ or ‘It is her book.’ We use ‘Whose’ to know about possession. Don’t say ‘Who is’ instead of ‘Whose’ when you want to ask about things. Here are examples: 1. Whose bag is this? 2. Whose keys are these? 3. Whose phone rings? 4. Whose dog is that? 5. Whose coat do you want?

On utilise ‘Whose?’ pour demander à qui appartient quelque chose. Cela signifie : ‘À qui est-ce ?’ Mettez ‘Whose’ au début de la question. Après ‘Whose’, utilisez un nom. Par exemple : ‘Whose book is this?’. La réponse peut être : ‘It is his book.’ ou ‘It is her book.’ On utilise ‘Whose’ pour parler de possession. Ne dites pas ‘Who is’ au lieu de ‘Whose’ pour demander à propos des choses. Voici des exemples : 1. Whose bag is this ? 2. Whose keys are these ? 3. Whose phone rings ? 4. Whose dog is that ? 5. Whose coat do you want ?
