🎯 Lesson Goal

Learn how to use ‘these’ and ‘those’ to talk about things near and far.

Apprenez à utiliser ‘these’ et ‘those’ pour parler des objets près de vous et loin de vous.

🧠 Grammar Focus

Use ‘these’ for things close to you. Use ‘those’ for things far from you. Both words are for plural nouns. Use this structure: ‘These are …’ or ‘Those are …’ A common mistake is to use ‘these’ for far things or ‘those’ for near things. Look at these books (near). Look at those cars (far). These apples are red. Those dogs are big.

Utilisez ‘these’ pour les choses proches de vous. Utilisez ‘those’ pour les choses éloignées. Ces deux mots sont pour des noms au pluriel. Utilisez la structure : ‘These are …’ ou ‘Those are …’. Une erreur fréquente est d’utiliser ‘these’ pour des objets éloignés ou ‘those’ pour des objets proches. Par exemple dans les phrases données.
