🎯 Lesson Goal

In this lesson, you will learn how to compare places using comparatives. You will practice reading, vocabulary, and exercises with comparative sentences about travel destinations.

🧠 Grammar Focus

We use comparatives to talk about differences between two things. We add ‘-er’ to short adjectives, for example, ‘bigger.’ For longer adjectives, we use ‘more,’ like ‘more exciting.’ We use comparatives to show which thing has a higher or lower degree of a quality. The structure is: subject + verb + adjective + ‘than’ + object. For example, ‘Tokyo is bigger than Rome.’ We use comparatives in everyday talk to compare cities, weather, prices, and more.
