🎯 Lesson Goal

In this lesson, you will learn to use the Past Simple tense to talk about holidays. You will read a short story about someone’s holiday and practice grammar, vocabulary, and writing.

🧠 Grammar Focus

We use the Past Simple tense to talk about finished actions in the past. We use it for things that happened once or many times. We use it to talk about past events and experiences. The basic structure is: subject + verb (past form). For example, I visited, she traveled, we stayed. Negative sentences use did not + base verb: He did not go. Questions use did + subject + base verb: Did you enjoy? Usually, we use time words like yesterday, last year, or two days ago. Examples: I visited Spain last summer. She did not like the hotel. Did you take photos? We stayed in a small town.
