🎯 Lesson Goal

In this lesson, you will learn how to compare people using comparative adjectives. You will practice using words like ‘taller,’ ‘smarter,’ and ‘younger’ to talk about differences between people.

🧠 Grammar Focus

We use comparatives to say that one person is different from another person. We add -er to short adjectives and use ‘more’ for longer adjectives. Usually, we compare two people or things. For example, we say, ‘Tom is taller than Jim.’ or ‘Anna is more careful than Ben.’ Use ‘than’ after the comparative word. Comparatives help us talk about height, age, size, and more. Remember, ‘good’ changes to ‘better,’ and ‘bad’ to ‘worse.’

📖 Short Reading

Anna is taller than her brother. She is also older than him. Tom is younger than Anna, but he is stronger than his sister. Jim is smarter than Tom, but Tom is more careful. Anna is the fastest in her family. Jim is shorter than everyone else. All of them like to compare and learn from each other.
