🎯 Lesson Goal

In this lesson, you will learn how to use comparatives with short adjectives to compare two things. You will practice making sentences that show something is bigger, smaller, faster, or better than another thing.

🧠 Grammar Focus

We use comparatives to compare two people, places, or things. With short adjectives (one or two syllables), we usually add -er at the end. Use ‘than’ after the comparative word. Examples: This box is smaller than that box. My bike is faster than your bike. The comparative form shows which thing has more or less of a quality. For some adjectives that end with ‘e,’ just add -r, like nice → nicer. For words that end with consonant + vowel + consonant, double the last letter and add -er, like big → bigger.

📖 Short Reading
