📝 Daily Practice
🎯 Lesson Goal
This lesson helps you learn how to make and answer questions in the past simple tense. You will practice asking about past actions in daily life.
🧠 Grammar Focus
We use the past simple questions to ask about actions that happened before now. Use ‘Did’ + subject + base verb. This works for all verbs, regular and irregular. For example, Did you watch TV? Did she go to the shop? Use short answers: Yes, I did. No, he didn’t. We ask about past events, times, and experiences. The question word (when, where, why) can be before Did. For example, Where did you go yesterday? Did they play football last weekend?
📖 Short Reading
Anna visited her friend last Saturday. She asked, "Did you clean your house?" Her friend said, "Yes, I cleaned it in the morning." Then Anna asked, "Did you cook dinner?" Her friend answered, "No, I didn’t cook dinner. I ate out." They talked about their day and asked many questions. Anna said, "Did you watch the football match?" Her friend smiled and said, "Yes, I watched it with my brother." After their chat, they planned to meet on Sunday.
