Learn how to describe objects using simple words and sentences.

🧠 Grammar Focus

We use ‘is’ and ‘are’ to say what things are like. ‘Is’ is for one thing. ‘Are’ is for many things. Use ‘is’ with singular nouns. Use ‘are’ with plural nouns. The basic sentence is: This is a/an + object. Or These are + objects. Do not say ‘This are’ or ‘These is’. We can also use have/has to say what someone owns: I have a pen. Anna has a bag. Examples: The bag is small. The pens are blue. This is a book. These are books.

📖 Short Reading

Anna has a red bag. The bag is small. She has a blue pen and a green pen. The pens are long. Anna has one book. The book is new. She likes her bag and the pens. They are her things.
