🎯 Lesson Goal
Objetivo de la lección

Learn how to understand and use simple rules and instructions in English.

Aprende a entender y usar reglas e instrucciones simples en inglés.

🧠 Grammar Focus
Enfoque gramatical

Rules and instructions often use the simple present tense. We use the simple present to talk about what people must do. The sentence usually starts with the subject (you, we, he, she) or an instruction word (do, don’t). After the subject, we use the base verb. For example, ‘You stop here.’ or ‘Do not run.’ We use ‘do not’ or ‘don’t’ to make negative instructions. The word order is usually: subject + verb. Remember, the verb does not change for ‘you’ and ‘we’ in instructions. Examples: 1. You wash your hands. 2. Don’t talk. 3. We listen carefully. 4. Do not touch this. 5. He reads the rules. Avoid mistakes like changing the verb form to ‘washes’ after ‘you’.

Las reglas e instrucciones suelen usar el presente simple. Usamos el presente simple para hablar de lo que la gente debe hacer. La oración normalmente empieza con el sujeto (you, we, he, she) o una palabra de instrucción (do, don’t). Después del sujeto usamos el verbo en su forma base. Por ejemplo, ‘You stop here.’ o ‘Do not run.’ Usamos ‘do not’ o ‘don’t’ para hacer instrucciones negativas. El orden de las palabras es: sujeto + verbo. Recuerda, el verbo no cambia para ‘you’ y ‘we’ en instrucciones. Ejemplos: 1. You wash your hands. 2. Don’t talk. 3. We listen carefully. 4. Do not touch this. 5. He reads the rules. Evita errores como cambiar el verbo a ‘washes’ después de ‘you’.
