🎯 Lesson Goal
Objetivo de la lección

Learn how to use singular and plural nouns in simple sentences.

Aprende a usar sustantivos singulares y plurales en oraciones simples.

🧠 Grammar Focus
Enfoque gramatical

A singular noun means one person, place, or thing. A plural noun means more than one. We add -s to most nouns to make them plural. For example, ‘cat’ becomes ‘cats’. We use singular nouns with words like ‘a’ or ‘one’. We use plural nouns with numbers bigger than one or words like ‘many’. Sometimes, the noun does not change, but this is for later lessons. Remember: do not add -s when the noun is one. Here are some examples: I have one book. I have two books. She has one apple. They have three apples. The dogs run fast.

Un sustantivo singular significa una persona, lugar o cosa. Un sustantivo plural significa más de uno. A la mayoría de los sustantivos les añadimos -s para hacerlos plurales. Usamos el singular con palabras como ‘a’ o ‘one’. Usamos el plural con números mayores que uno o palabras como ‘many’. A veces, el sustantivo no cambia, pero esto se verá en lecciones futuras. Recuerda: no añadas -s cuando el sustantivo es uno. Aquí hay ejemplos para entenderlo mejor.
