Sometimes, Anna comes in late because of the bus. Last week, she came back from holiday on Monday and started work again.

💡 Notice the Pattern

Using 'go back' and 'come back'

Use 'go back' when you talk about leaving now to return to a place you were before. Use 'come back' when you talk about returning to the place where you are now.

  • I will go back to my room to get my phone.
  • She will come back to the kitchen soon.
