📝 Daily Practice
🎯 Lesson Goal
In this lesson, you will practice using present perfect and past simple tenses to talk about work and study experiences. You will learn common expressions related to jobs and education, and improve your ability to describe your achievements and past events.
🧠 Grammar Focus
We use the present perfect tense to talk about experiences or actions that happened at an unspecified time before now. For example, to say what you have done or learned at work or school. The past simple is used when we talk about finished actions with a specific time in the past. Present perfect: I have completed three courses this year. Past simple: I completed a course last month. Present perfect can show recent news or changes, and past simple tells what happened and when. The structure for present perfect is: subject + have/has + past participle (e.g. ‘I have studied’). For past simple: subject + verb + ed (regular) or second form (irregular) (e.g. ‘I studied’ or ‘I went’). Use present perfect to say about your experience, and past simple for specific events or dates.
