🎯 Lesson Goal

In this lesson, you will learn how to talk about decisions you plan to make in the future. You will practice using future forms to explain plans and choices in daily life.

🧠 Grammar Focus

We use future forms to talk about decisions we make about the future. Often, we use ‘will’ to make quick decisions or promises. We use ‘going to’ when we already have a plan. ‘Will’ is common for instant decisions: ‘I will call you later.’ ‘Going to’ shows a plan or intention: ‘I am going to study medicine.’ We also use the present continuous for future arrangements: ‘She is meeting her friend tomorrow.’ The basic structure: subject + will + base verb (for quick decisions) or subject + to be + going to + base verb (for plans). Examples: I will help you with your work. They are going to travel to Spain next month. We will finish the report by Friday. He is going to start a new job soon.

Her friend Maria told her she is visiting a city near Anna’s soon. Anna believes she will meet Maria there and explain her plans.
