We use ‘is’ for one place. We use ‘are’ for more than one place. The sentence structure is: Place + is / are + description. Use ‘is’ with one thing or one place. Use ‘are’ with more things or places. Remember, do not use ‘is’ with plural words. For example, ‘The park is big.’ ‘The shops are small.’ ‘My house is near the school.’ ‘The cities are far.’
Wir verwenden ‘is’ für einen Ort. Für mehr als einen Ort verwenden wir ‘are’. Der Satzbau ist: Ort + is / are + Beschreibung. ‘Is’ benutzt man bei Einzahl, ‘are’ bei Mehrzahl. Verwende ‘is’ nicht bei Pluralwörtern.
