🎯 Lesson Goal
Lernziel

🧠 Grammar Focus
Grammatik im Fokus

We use "a" and "an" for one thing or person. Use "a" before words that start with a consonant sound. Use "an" before words that start with a vowel sound (a, e, i, o, u). The article comes before a noun. For example, "a dog", "an apple". Important: do not use "a" before a vowel sound. Use "an" instead. Examples: 1. I see a cat. 2. She has an orange. 3. He is a man. 4. It is an egg. 5. We want a book.

Wir verwenden „a“ und „an“ für eine Sache oder Person. „A“ steht vor Wörtern, die mit einem Konsonanten-Laut beginnen. „An“ steht vor Wörtern, die mit einem Vokal-Laut (a, e, i, o, u) beginnen. Der Artikel steht vor einem Nomen. Zum Beispiel: „a dog“, „an apple“. Wichtig: Vor einem Vokal-Laut benutzt man nicht „a“, sondern „an“. Die Beispiele zeigen das deutlich.
