🎯 Lesson Goal

This lesson helps learners review and practice the first conditional to describe real future possibilities in teamwork situations. You will understand when and how to use the first conditional and improve your ability to talk about plans, suggestions, and possible outcomes in a team setting.

🧠 Grammar Focus

The first conditional describes a real or possible future situation and its likely result. The basic structure is if + present simple, will + base verb: ‘If we organize the work well, we will finish on time.’ The result clause can also use modal verbs such as ‘can’, ‘may’, ‘should’, or ‘must’: ‘If you find a problem, you should report it.’ We normally do not use ‘will’ in the if-clause. The two clauses can change order without changing the meaning: ‘We will finish on time if we work together.’ This structure is useful for plans, warnings, suggestions, and possible outcomes.

📖 Short Reading

Last week, our team faced a tight deadline for a project. If we organize our tasks well, we will complete everything on time. The manager said that if anyone finds a problem, they should report it immediately. We all agreed that if communication improves, our collaboration will be much better. During the meeting, Sarah explained that if we share ideas openly, we can solve issues faster. She also mentioned that if someone cannot attend a meeting, they must notify the group in advance. Our experience shows that if each member does their part, the whole team will succeed. I believe that if we stay positive and focused, we will reach our goals quickly.
